Redneck Sour
We are calling this cocktail a Redneck Sour, which is essentially an Amaretto Sour...but we swooped in and used our Whiskey Shine to make this classic cocktail.
Since our whiskey has been noted to have distinct bourbon-like characteristics, we thought it would be the perfect mix with this cocktail.
This cocktail uses our Whiskey Shine, alongside fresh lemon juice and amaretto to round out the cocktail, plus egg white for a dash of body and a silky texture.
Egg white may seem unusual, but it’s a traditional addition to many sours, trust us, you won’t regret it!
Whiskey Shine compliments the Amaretto, helping it stand strong next to the tart citrus. The Redneck Sour is frothy, sweet, sour, nutty and strong, and makes for a balanced cocktail.

Ingredients
- 1 ounce Booze Brothers Whiskey Shine
- 1 1/2 ounces amaretto liqueur
- 1-ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 teaspoon simple syrup
- 1/2 ounce egg white
- Garnish: lemon twist

Instructions
- Add Whiskey Shine, Amaretto, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a shaker and dry-shake (no ice) for 15 seconds.
- Add ice and shake again until well-chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish with a lemon twist
